Understanding supportive housing

Stability creates room for progress.

Sober living offers a substance-free shared environment for people committed to recovery and personal responsibility. Reentry housing can support people rebuilding their lives after incarceration by providing structure, clear expectations, and a stable place from which to pursue work, appointments, family responsibilities, and community reintegration.

Residents are expected to respect house rules, other residents, the property, and the goals of a healthy shared living environment.

Stable environment

A consistent place to focus on the responsibilities and goals ahead.

Daily structure

Clear routines and expectations that support dependable progress.

Accountability

House standards designed to protect safety, respect, and shared responsibility.

Community connection

A shared setting that encourages positive support and greater independence.
